Sphodros rufipes, a.k.a. the Red-Legged Purseweb Spider. These things are wicked, dime-sized little fighters! The particular shape of older generation hunting spiders is really fun to draw, so mechanizing the purseweb spider turned over some really pleasing results. It's not everyday I drop a mech off here. Hindsight tells me though that I should have kept more to it's cylinder shape instead of raising the abdomen in the back... hence the "looks like Tachikoma" response...
